  1. Responsibilities and related tasks

The Food Security and Livelihood  (FSL)Technician is responsible of the execution of daily activities of FSL at base, according to FSL Annual Planning

1. Carry out of FSL activities at base level: 

Ensure practical carrying out of field FSL activities 

à Related tasks: 

  • Be fully aware of the FSL Annual Planning
  • Collect various FSL field data, as requested. 
  • Participate in beneficiaries’ identification and manage their lists.
  • Follow up of the FSL stock
  • Organize and carry out different items and inputs  distribution
  • Participate on the community meetings and mobilize the community, if needed. 
  • Participate in the livelihood activities implementation, according to the plan and support planning.
  • Monitor the use of tools in the field.
  • Provide Key Family Practises messages to the targeted beneficiaries 
  • Participate on the different trainings, as directed by FSL Officer
  • Support training sessions, as requested. 
  • Carry out data entry of different activities.
  • Follow-up of daily workers
  • Follow-up of Income Generating Activities (IGA) beneficiaries work.
  • Share information about security in the area with the FSL officer
  • Support partners staff on carry their tasks

2. Monitoring and reporting

  • Carry out various campaigns of surveys
  • Conduct various monitoring activities, as per FSL planning
  • Timely report conducted activities to FSL Officer
  • Inform the FSL Officer of any interesting events in the community ( success story, new need, etc)

3. Capacity-building

  • Participate actively in the training courses recommended by TGH, and share new skills and knowledge with his/ her team or colleagues
  • Inform his/her manager about identified training needs and training opportunities on his/ her job related matters 
  • Co-operate in the supervision of partner organizations according to TGH partnership agreements

Any other tasks may be required for the running of the projects

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

B. Knowledge, skills and personal features required

  1. High Secondary school, preferably in Agricultural science
  2. Practical Agricultural trainings, with MoA , agric institutions, NGO or any related bodies
  3. Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting food security and livelihood projects, preferably with NGOs.  .
  4. Experience in community work is highly appreciated.
  5. Basic computer skills (word/excel/outlook)  .
  6. Basic English knowledge ( able to read and write)
  7. Knowledge about the area and good relationships with traditional authorities (Sheikhs and Omdas)
  8. Knowledge of the main local language in the area 
  9. 8- Honest, motivated, hard worker and precise person.

Net  Salary for the position 333 USD depending on bank exchange rate

NB : The salary can be paid in SDG due to the current situation and non-accessibility to the banks
