Job Title: Protection Application Engineer

As a Protection Application Engineer, you will be part of the Electrification Business Area within the Distribution Solutions division based in Doha, Qatar. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing product marketing strategies, supporting sales efforts, and achieving business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Implementing the product marketing strategy for the assigned area/segment, including defining and communicating product value propositions and positioning.
• Achieving product marketing targets and budgets, focusing on orders and Net Promoter Score (NPS).
• Executing the annual marketing plan, preparing business development plans, and analyzing market conditions and competitor data.
• Coordinating market analyses, forecasts, and plans with the sales team.
• Providing product knowledge training and support to the sales team, contributing to customer satisfaction.
• Ensuring compliance with ABB’s Code of Conduct, standards, and processes in the assigned area.
• Demonstrating integrity, ethics, and a strong understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) principles.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5 years of experience in distribution and automation.
• Experience in Qatar is preferred.
• Knowledge of medium voltage products, systems, and their application in various industries.
• Understanding of electrical distribution and transmission networks and protection applications.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
