The Project Manager will oversee the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of ADRA’s projects in Geinena, West Darfur. This role involves managing resources, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management within a humanitarian or development context and a strong commitment to ADRA’s mission.
Duties and responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Implementation:
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Lead the execution of project activities, ensuring alignment with ADRA’s objectives and donor requirements.
- Oversee the construction and rehabilitation of facilities as part of project deliverables.
- Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Design and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess project progress and impact.
- Collect, analyse, and report data to inform decision-making and project adjustments.
- Prepare comprehensive progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Team Management:
- Supervise and support project staff, ensuring effective team performance and professional development.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, address challenges, and plan future activities.
- Promote a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Stakeholder Coordination:
- Liaise with local authorities, NGOs, community groups, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project coordination and implementation.
- Represent ADRA at sector meetings, workshops, and conferences.
- Foster strong relationships with beneficiaries and key partners.

- Resource Management:
- Manage project budgets, ensuring efficient and transparent use of resources.
- Oversee the procurement and distribution of project materials and supplies.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with project implementation.
- Reporting:
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting on project progress to ADRA headquarters, donors, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and submit regular progress reports, including financial reports, to track project performance against objectives.
- Maintain thorough documentation of all project activities, decisions, and changes for accountability and future reference
Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, International Development, Public Health, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within a humanitarian or development context.
- Proven experience in managing complex projects from inception to completion.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, tools, and techniques.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis tools.
- Ability to work in challenging environments and under pressure.
- Fluency in Arabic and English.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in conflict or post-conflict settings.
- Knowledge of local policies and regulations in West Darfur.
- Familiarity with donor reporting requirements.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
